Katie Loos is an artist and participatory educator. Her artistic practice spans oil painting, design, and craft using found materials. Through tactile explorations, her work investigates commodification and perceptions of “ownership” over the natural environment and the gendered body.

As a teaching artist, through the creative process & design thinking, she supports students to imagine and build a more just and loving world.

Katie has a BA in Human Services and Social Justice from George Washington University and an MA in Education Policy and Social Analysis, specializing in civically engaged arts education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
